HOFER - Cucamonga Grenache
Hofer Ranch is a special oasis located about 45 miles east of LA. It’s a Grenache-planted vineyard with beach sand soils, own-rooted and head-trained vines, farmed organically since it was planted in 1915. After Prohibition, the ranch expanded to 900 acres, shipping fruit across the country in boxcars. Today, all that remains is 5 acres of sand, nestled next to the Ontario airport and surrounded by industrial warehouses. The wine is punchy—reminiscent of Hawaiian Punch—funky, and bursting with sun-kissed, juicy cherry fruit. Put a chill on it for extra fun.
