Santa Barbara County is the most interesting wine region in California you might not know by name. The transverse mountain ranges run east-west — not north-south like most of the coast — which pulls Pacific fog and ocean air straight into the vineyards. Sta. Rita Hills, Santa Ynez Valley, Los Alamos, Happy Canyon, Ballard Canyon: each AVA sits in a different microclimate, with real distinctions in varietals and style.

We make wine here. Municipal Winemakers (Muni) is our approachable label — everyday pours, small-batch, made for the table. Potek Winery is the premium tier, led by winemaker Dave Potter, focused on single-vineyard Pinot, Syrah, and Chardonnay from the county's top sites. Both operate out of Santa Barbara County and source almost exclusively in the region.
