About This Wine
Lime, green apple, and a hiss when you pop it.
Our Pétillant Naturel wine is made from a blend of skin-fermented and a whole bunch of pressed Riesling grapes. The wine was fermented in old French oak barrels to dryness and then recharged with some fresh juice at bottling. The active wine and juice combo created a second fermentation that’s ready to blow when you pop the cap off. We made no additions of yeast or anything else to this wine that makes us think of limes, green apples, and jasmine tea.
Bought this for my daughter on my trip to Santa Barbara . We enjoyed it with a nice steak and lobster dinner ;)
My husband I come back to Pet Nat again and again because it has such an appealing and easy to pair flavor. I hate beer and love Kombucha, my husband loves beer and is medium on the booch. The Pet Nat is the perfect bridge to our diverging palates. Not sweet, a bit yeasty with a delicate bite that pairs beautifully with a burger and fries as it does a pesto pasta. Even better pre dinner post work wind down by sharing a bottle with friends and enjoying the beautiful balance of flavors in this fabulous wine.
