These small (or young) sardines are caught in the Mediterranean Sea and then brought to the cannery on the coast of Bizkaia, Spain. Here they are cleaned, steamed and packed in the traditional manner - all by hand - with high quality olive oil and sea salt. With 10-14 pieces per tin, these small, tender, oily fish are perfect right out of the package or ready to be used in countless preparations. We love them over fried eggs, drizzling the oil from the can on top. Or in a sandwich with crunchy pickled vegetables and herbs. Or change up a classic nicoise by swapping these sardines out for more common tuna.
At Minnow, our tinned seafood is sourced from sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, caught at the height of season and quickly processed, oftentimes by hand, at local canneries to preserve the vitamins, omega-3s, natural oils and fresh flavor of each fish.

We were a bit intimidated by a “dessert wine” at first, afraid that it would be heavy or syrupy. The End was a happy disprover of all our fears. It smells just like a walnut or fruitcake, has a light mouthfeel, and yet just a little goes a long way! We brought it to a family Christmas party and it was finished well before “the end” of the night!
